Ultrasonic bath

An ultrasonic bath is an economical and environmentally friendly device for washing and cleaning vehicle parts. For washing, a liquid is used through which ultrasonic waves propagate. With the passage of ultrasonic waves, there is an alternating stretching and contraction of fluids. Due to the intense vibrations of the liquid, small vacuum bubbles are created, creating a micro pressure of 650 bar. When the object we want to clean is immersed in an ultrasonic bath, millions of micro-bubbles reach the tiniest cavity and under enormous pressure act on the dirt particles, erupting them from the surface of the object.

A solution of water and a suitable degreasing agent is used to wash the parts. Plain or demineralized water can be used. Demineralized water is more efficient in the washing process.

Recommendations

For the proper use of an ultrasonic bath, it is necessary to adhere to certain recommendations:
– Do not switch on the appliance without liquid as it leads to overheating
– Do not switch on the heater without water
– The minimum amount of liquid in the bath is 2/3 of the container
– Do not place washing items on the bottom of the bath, but on suitable supports
– Do not remove objects from the bathtub while the ultrasonic generator is running
– The maximum operating time of the ultrasonic bath is 30 minutes
– Take a break of 10 minutes between two consecutive washes
– The liquid changes only when it gets dirty. Wait for the dirt to settle, pour the liquid into a clean container, remove the sediment and return the liquid to the bath and top up if necessary.

Instruction

For efficient washing, it is necessary to perform a preparation that consists of pouring/adding water, heating, forming a washing mixture, degassing, finding the node by correcting the height of the liquid in the bath.

Preparation of ultrasonic bath for washing

First, pour clean water or prepared washing mixture to the maximum height, separated by a hem on the inside of the bath. Then the heating is switched on by setting the thermostat to a temperature between 30 and 40 °C. When the thermostat control lamp is switched off, the heater is switched off and the mixture is formed by pouring the appropriate concentrated washing liquid.

After the mixture is formed, degassing of the liquid is performed by turning on ultrasound. Degassing expels air bubbles from the liquid, which negatively affects the propagation of ultrasonic waves and the washing process. This phase lasts up to 10 minutes.

Finally, the ultrasound bath node is determined. From the bottom of the bath, longitudinal waves are emitted, which intersect at every 2-3 cm of height, creating the maximum cleaning effect. Determination of the node, ie the required fluid level is performed during the ultrasound operation by removing and adding fluid until the greatest visual effect of boiling fluid is observed on the surface. Determining the node completes the preparation of the ultrasonic bath.

Washing

Before washing, depending on the item, a wire mesh or part carrier is placed on the bath. Do not place the washbasins on the bottom of the bathtub, as vibrations can damage the bathtub. Washing parts are placed on the net or carrier and include ultrasound. The optimal time for washing and cleaning parts is from 20 to 30 minutes. While the ultrasound is on, no parts are inserted or removed from the bath.

After the scheduled washing time, the ultrasound is turned off and the parts are removed from the bathtub. It is recommended that after ultrasonic washing and extraction from the bathtub, the parts be washed with water to stop the chemical reaction of washing. The next wash cycle is done after a break of 5 to 10 minutes. If a new wash is not planned, the ultrasonic bath is closed with a lid. When the precipitate has accumulated, the liquid is poured into a clean container and the precipitate is removed from the bath. The separated liquid can be used again for washing.

Washing the injector in the ultrasonic bath

To wash parts in an ultrasonic bath, follow these steps:

Washing preparation

Pour the liquid into the bath to the appropriate height. Turn on the heater and set the thermostat to 30-40 ° C. After heating the liquid, turn off the heater and form a washing mixture by adding the appropriate liquid. Turn on the ultrasound and allow 10 minutes to perform degassing. Then, by adjusting the level of the liquid, determine the level where the knot of ultrasonic waves is.

Washing

Place a wire mesh or part carrier on the ultrasonic bath. Place the washing parts on the net or bracket. Include ultrasound. After 20-30 min turns off the ultrasound. Remove the washed parts from the bath. Take a break for 5-10 minutes before washing again. After washing, cover the bath or, after settling the sediment, remove the liquid and remove the sediment from the bottom of the ultrasonic bath.
