Slip, Trip, and Fall Hazards

Due to disorder and carelessness in the workshop, there are always slip, trip, and fall hazards. Scattered trash, tools and equipment, or spilt liquids can cause accidents.

Keep the workspace of the workshop tidy. Put tools, equipment and vehicle parts in their proper place. Cables or hoses left on the floor can cause tripping and falls. A messy workplace is a dangerous environment that can lead to injury and accidents.

Floors and stairs can become slippery and a safety hazard. Spilled liquid should be removed immediately and degreased with anti-slip agents. After cleaning, mark the area with wet floor signs until the floor is dry. High-visibility tapes with anti-slip coatings can be placed on the edges of stair treads to make the staircase visible while reducing the risk of slipping.

The workshop should be well-lit to see the dangers, and the movement paths should be free, without obstacles. Waste liquids, oils, greasy rags and greased parts should be stored immediately and safely in the area designated for hazardous waste storage.

While in the workshop, always ensure that the working environment is safe and tidy to avoid slipping, tripping and falling during working. Most accidents can be prevented by following the policy and developing the attitude that safety comes first.
