Air hammer

An air hammer also called an air chisel, is a useful tool for cutting and punching. Due to the additional force created by compressed air, it is more efficient than the use of a hand chisel and hammer. There are various types of cutter and punch inserts that are mounted on the receiving head of the air hammer.

The air hammer is most often used for cutting a bolt, as well as for driving out a broken lug stud. The insert in the hammerhead holds a spring that is damaged over time and never uses it if it is broken.

Place the top of the insert and hold it firmly against the workpiece before pressing the hammer activation button, otherwise, it will bounce around.

The air hammer creates noise that exceeds the maximum allowed level, and due to hearing protection, the use of ear protection is mandatory.
